Coil: Combat Style: Ranged Saboteur Background: Upper-Class Gender: Male
Coil is a wrecked cyborg that Phalanx discovers lurking on the edges of the city. Initially confusing each other for enemies, Phalanx spares Coil’s life and in return, he offers her shelter and to guide her back to her home to see the aftermath for herself. Coil has survived in this world by careful raiding COREC transports - integrating the parts he stole into his robotic body. Unfortunately, Coil’s survivalist nature has degraded into a hoarding mentality over the years - on his back, he carries with him his original exo-frame’s limbs. Though he speaks with frequently dark humor, he secretly hopes to once again make himself whole.
Coil was born as Richard John Harris, the only son of a wealthy family that ruled over the forest kingdom of Villumere. As was tradition for all upper-class families, RJ was given to the capital as a ward, bound into military service before being permitted to return home. A natural loner, RJ found himself more at home in service than attending political banquets. Preparing to remain as a military-lifer, tragedy struck when a rival family tried to have him killed during ‘an accident’ while training new recruits. Losing half of his left hemisphere, both legs and an arm, he was declared beyond saving. However, as property of the nation, his body was integrated into a cyborg exo-frame and inducted into the recon and special ops division. Relieved to be free of his past, he served here, assassinating targets deemed a threat to the stability of the nation.

Unfortunately, at the pivotal moment, Coil lost his nerve and paralyzed with fear, he failed to provide them with cover fire. The entire team was killed by the CORE’s agents.
